Chennai: Tamil TV star VJ Chitra's husband Hemnath has been arrested for abetment to suicide of the actress.
As per reports, Hemnath was a possessive husband and objected to her intimate scenes in television serials.
The actress was found dead in a hotel room in Chennai's Nazarathpet on December 9. According to Nazrathpet police, she had checked into her hotel room after completing a shoot and then she hung herself in the room.
The preliminary post-mortem report of Chitra also suggested that her death is a case of suicide. The postmortem was conducted in Kilpauk Medical College Hospital by two doctors.

Earlier, police speculated that VJ Chitra's death was caused due to pressure from her husband Hemnath and her mother.
Other actors and actresses were also questioned by the police in connection with the case.
