Chennai: Income Tax department has summoned Christian evangelist Paul Dinakaran to appear before tax officials by next week.
The I-T conducted raids at 28 locations in Tamil Nadu which belong to Paul Dinakaran, who is also the Chancellor of Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
Reportedly, the I-T team seized 5 Kg gold from Karunya Institute and also detected undisclosed income of Rs.120 Cr involving investments abroad.
I-T reports also claim that they have over 200 bank accounts.
Dinakaran runs a religious organisation in the name "Jesus Calls" and conducts preaching session widely across the state.
The Jesus Calls ministry allegedly collects donations under various schemes. It promotes various plans and schemes on its website and also through other social media platforms.
