Pushkar: Security has been tightened at Bed Khabadh-- a prominent shrine of Israelis in Rajasthan's Pushkar-- after tensions escalated in the Gaza Strip in the wake of recent airstrikes between Israel and Hamas.
Pushkar police station in-charge Rajesh Meena informed that armed forces have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order through 24*7 monitoring.

On Monday, Sub-Inspector Bhopal Singh from Pushkar police station patrolled in the adjoining areas and took stock of the situation. Notably, Pushkar town comes under sensitive areas as it has been targeted by terrorists for years.
Pilgrim site Pushkar is world-famous for its Brahma temple and also for its only Israeli-Jewish community religious site Bed Khabadh.

In 2009, American terrorist of Pakistani origin David Coleman Headley stayed in Pushkar for two days which was revealed after the Mumbai terror attack. Since then the security of this area has been on high alert.
National Security Guard also conducted a special security drill 'Lightning Strike' at Bed Khabadh after the bombings outside the Israeli embassy in New Delhi.
