Rajasthan police on high alert after getting inputs of gangster Vikas Dubey in state

Rajasthan police have started a robust search operation against the gangster Vikash Dubey who was involved in the killing of eight police personnel and injuring five others critically during an ambush in Kanpur. All the border districts are directed to remain in high alert to nab the absconding criminal.

Jaipur (Rajasthan): After the Rajasthan Intelligence Bureau received fresh inputs about Uttar Pradesh's most wanted gangster Vikas Dubey roaming in the state, the Bhiwadi police have started a robust search operation against the gangster.

Dubey is an accused in the murder of eight police personnel and injuring five others critically during an ambush in Kanpur.

According to Phulwari station in-charge Ravindra Pratap Singh the department have a strong input regarding the absconded gangster.

While talking to ETV Bharat, Pratap said, "There are inputs of having absconded gangster in the adjoining border areas. The department has deployed black commandos and asked them to stay in alert mode."

Earlier today, police conducted a raid at a hotel in Faridabad after a CCTV footage reports the presence of suspected gangster in a hotel adjoining the national capital.

However, he managed to give a slip to the police.

The Uttar Pradesh STF was also conducting raids at various locations in its search for the absconding criminal, including in Greater Noida.

Faridabad, Gurugram and Delhi are also on a high alert and the Delhi Police's Special Cell has also been alerted amid speculation that Dubey may surrender in the National Capital Region. All hotels in the NCR have also been alerted.

K.K. Rao, the newly appointed Police Commissioner of Gurugram, has directed the Gurugram Police to keep strict vigil in the border areas as Dubey may try to sneak into the city.
