Bharatpur: A BSP MLA from Rajasthan's Nadbai, Joginder Awana, has denied the rumours of abduction saying that he went to protect a Panchayat Samiti member and not to kidnap him. Joginder's statement comes after he along with the police went to Talchera village on late Saturday night where villagers staged a protest against him alleging that the MLA had come to abduct the newly-elected Panchayat Samiti member for political gains.
The video of the entire incident has surfaced on social media platforms on Saturday. In the video, MLA Joginder Awana was seen sitting in a car and the villagers have gheraoed his car in protest.
In a telephonic conversation with ETV Bharat correspondent, Nadbai MLA Joginder Awana defended himself and denied the allegation of abduction of the Panchayat Samiti member. Blaming BJP, the MLA further stated he had information that saffron party members were trying to abduct the winning candidates. He further said following the information, he went to Talchera village and due to some misunderstanding, the villagers staged a protest against him.
