Poonia's 'Bunty-Babli' remark derogatory, says Kalla

Bikaner (Rajasthan): Reacting to BJP MLA Satish Poonia's 'Bunty-Babli' remark on Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi, State power minister BD Kalla said that using such language for the family whose three generations have fought have sacrifised theire lives for the nation is derogatory.

Talking to ETV Bharat, Kalla said that the BJP does not practice what they preach. He said that Congress is dedicated towards working on its manifesto and BJP is misguiding people with their 'Jumla'.

Criticising the BJP and Amit Shah he said that BJP's promise of giving 15 lakh rupees and providing employment to two crore youths have yet not fulfilled.

Earlier reacting on Priyanka Gandhi's political plunge, Poonia took a dig at them and termed the brother and sister (Rahul and Priyanka) duo as 'Bunty and Babli'.

He also said that Congress is considering Priyanka's entry into politics as a trump card.

Targeting Congress party, he added that Priyanka's in-law's as well as her maternal family are out on interim bail. BJP leader claimed that Rahul Gandhi is not capable of taking on Narendra Modi.
