Ninder: The farmers of Jaipur who were protesting against the Nindar Residential Scheme by holding a unique demonstration by taking 'Samadhis' on their affected lands have now started to split into two groups.
While one group of farmers surrendered their land to the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA ) and took reservation papers, the other group of farmers have again started land samadhi satyagraha on the call given by Yuva Sangarish Simiti. Under the satyagraha, hundreds of farmers are doing satyagraha till late night in the bone-chilling cold.
More than 80 farmers have surrendered land to Jaipur Development Authority in a week. While only seven farmers have been issued reservation papers, the rest of the farmers will be issued papers soon.
Five farmers, including Nagendra Singh Shekhawat, are opposing the action of the JDA by taking the path of unique Satyagraha. And hundreds of farmers along with him were present at the Satyagraha site till 12:30 pm in the cold winter.
Nagendra Singh, chairman of the Yuva Sangarsh Smiti said that it has been two days since the Satyagraha started, still, no representative of the government has yet reached to talk to him. He said that despite the cold winter farmers are suffering for their land. And if the government does not listen to their demand, then the number of people doing the satyagraha will increase daily. These will also include women farmers as well.
Though JDA has termed this movement as misleading.
In such a situation, a group of farmers has dedicated land to the JDA. While the other faction has repeated the step taken 2 years ago.
