Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday directed the officials to get the killing of a temple priest probed by the CID-CB.

Speaking to ETV Bharat after he was assigned the responsibility, Sharma said he will visit the crime scene, see the file prepared by the police, examine the proofs and probe the matter accordingly.

He said the culprits would be punished and the aggrieved party would get justice.

The priest was burnt alive by some people while he was trying to stop them from encroaching upon the temple land.

Ordering probe by the CID-CB, Gehlot said the BJP was trying to give a communal colour to a land dispute between two families, which led to the death of the priest.
