An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale struck Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu at3.30 pm on Wednesday. There are no reports of any injuries or loss of property so far.

Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan): A low-intensity earthquake measuring 3.8 on Richter scale hit Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district on Wednesday, a MeT official said.

According to the district officials, no casualty or damage to property was reported.

People rushed out of their houses in some areas after experiencing the tremors, added official.

The quake hit the region around 3.30 pm, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here said.

The epicentre of the earthquake was recorded at depth of 16 km, he said.

Intro:राजस्थान का झुंझुनू जिला हालांकि भूकंप के खतरनाक जोन में नहीं माना जाता है लेकिन दोपहर को अचानक आए झटके से लोग आशंकित हो गए। हालांकि कहीं से भी कोई भूकंप की वजह से नुकसान की सूचना नहीं मिली है।

Body:झुंझुनू। जिले में 3:31 मिनट अचानक 3 सेकंड का भूकंप का झटका महसूस किया गया। दिल्ली मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र के अनुसार इसका केंद्र झुंझुनू ही था, जिसका रेक्टर पैमाना 3 पॉइंट 8 था। केंद्र के अनुसार इसे हल्का झटका ही कहा जाता है और इसके नुकसान की कोई खास आशंका नहीं होती है। वहीं जिले से मिली सूचना के अनुसार भी लोगों ने भूकंप के झटके तो महसूस किए हैं लेकिन कहीं भी जान, माल के नुकसान की सूचना नहीं है।

लोगों को दी जानकारी
प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार दोपहर 3:30 बजे आसपास अचानक खिड़कियां बजी व कंपन महसूस होने लगा। जब तक लोग सावधान होते तब तक तो झटका रुक गया था। इसके बाद भी लोग आशंकित हो गए और घरों से बाहर निकल गए। इसके अलावा अपने परिचितों को फोन कर जानकारी देने के साथ की कुशलक्षेम भी पूछने लगे। बाद में सभी लोगों ने राहत की सांस ली।
