Kandhamal: A pregnant woman in Odisha's Duburi village gave birth in a sling after an ambulance could not reach her due to lack of road connectivity.

A number of villagers tried to escort her, but couldn't due to the poor condition of the roads.
They carried her for 3kms before she gave birth and had to carry her one and a half kilometre further to reach the hospital.
Locals have complained repeatedly over the poor condition of the road facilties yet no measures were taken to resolve this impending issue.
