Kendrapara (Odisha): A young man of Odisha's Kendrapara district conceptualized and made a sanitizing machine within three days at a minimum cost.

The youth has been identified as Soumya Ranjan Behura, a Diploma engineer of Padalo village in Odisha's Kendrapara district.

With this machine, one can sanitize oneself within minutes. Soumya has presented the machine to the Kendrapara district administration so that each and every people of the district will sanitize themselves.

The manufacturer claims that the machine sanitizes the whole body. Whether there are any side effects of this has not been mentioned.

Built at a cost of only 30 to 35 thousand rupees, this machine is fully solar operated and it will be filled with more than 10 liters of sanitizer at a time, which will sanitize people.

“The COVID-19 crisis drove me to use my technical brain and come up with a sanitizing machine that could sanitize a large number of people. As soon as the man got on the machine, nozzles start spraying the sanitizer and within three seconds, the entire body will be sanitized," said Soumya.

"There are provisions like hand wash, water for sanitizing purpose, free Wi-fi, mobile charging point in this sanitizing machine cum sanitizing room. The most important point is that this machine can also function at the time of any natural calamity. After several successful tests, I assured that the machine worked perfectly," Soumya added.

"Our villagers are very happy. The machine prepared by Soumya keeping in mind the protection of the district. If Soumya is given some government patronization, more number of such machines could be made and sent to different areas of the state," said Soumya's mother, Basanti Behura.
