Student makes 30-foot-tall map of India with scrap metal

A special function was organized at the Government Industrial training institute premises of Berhampur in Odisha. Students and teachers of Berhampur have created a very attractive India map with discarded iron weighing about 4 tons.

Berhampur: Government Industrial training institute (ITI) students and teachers of Berhampur have created a very attractive India map with a height of 30 feet with useless iron weighing about 4 tons. It has been unveiled on the grounds of Asia's largest scrap park.

A special function which was organized at the ITI premises was inaugurated in the presence of Odisha Skills Development Authority Chairman Subrata Bagchi, Divisional Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh and other district administration officials.

The institute sets up an example in the field of skills and development in the country.

Meanwhile, the large map also featured iron peacocks and pens.

Students from the institute's fitters, welders, electricians and painters department have been working hard for 25 days. Earlier in the day, the school's Scrap Park was home to a number of artefacts, including the largest guitar, jigsaw puzzle, robot and iron man.
