Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in a press conference vigorously attacked the opposition over the Enforcement Directorate's summons to his wife Varsha Raut.
Raut attacked the BJP for leading the Central agencies with a political motive. He said that the notice of the ED is not a final word. The BJP is using CBI and ED to harass the opposition. The action depicts the failure and helplessness of the BJP. He also said that ED is the parrot of BJP.
No matter what the government will not be shaken
He questioned whether the BJP and the ED had set up an office together. " I am being threatened that the government would be overthrown. BJP leaders who meet me often say that the central government will take over by showing the list of MLAs. No matter what, the government will not be shaken," he said.
"The ED is not an important issue for us. People have now assumed that the action of the ED is a political action," said Raut.
"Varsha Raut had availed a loan of Rs 50 lakh from a friend to buy a house, ten years ago," Raut said. He questioned whether the ED has woken up after 10 years to inquire into the matter. We have also provided documents to the ED from time to time," he added.
Raut also attacked BJP by enlisting Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya. He also asked to inquire on the donations received in BJP's account. He also suggested the ED seek action against 120 BJP leaders he enlists. He also questioned how BJP's wealth increased by Rs 1,600 crore in a year.
