Man held for sodomising boy in Maharashtra

Dinesh Lawhari, a 36-year-old man was arrested for sodomising a nine-year-old boy in Dombivili area of Maharashtra's Thane. A complaint against the accused had been lodged by the minor's parents.

Thane: A man was on Saturday arrested for allegedly sodomising a nine-year-old boy living in his neighbourhood at Kolegaon in Dombivli in the district, police said. The accused, Dinesh Lawhari (36), was booked by Manpada police for the incident that took place last Sunday at his house.

Lawhari, who works as a housekeeper, was booked under IPC sections 377 (unnatural offences), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police said.

A complaint against the accused had been lodged by the minor's parents on Friday.
