Sangli: At least nine are dead and six still missing after a rescue boat ferrying 30 people capsized in the Krishna river in Maharashtra's Sangli during flood rescue operations.
However, 15 have been rescued in the operation.
Rescue operations are currently underway in the urban areas and also the backwaters of Kolhapur and Sangli.
The, Army along with Navy, Air force and NDRF teams are engaged in these operations.
Till now, the NDRF has rescued over 3,000 and 2,900 people from Kolhapur and Sangli district, respectively.
