Gandhinagar (Gujarat): NCB had sought Gujarat Forensic Science Laboratory's (FSL) help after it was known during investigation of the suicide of emerging movie star Sushant Singh Rajput that many film celebrities were hooked to drugs.
NCB, which had confiscated the mobile phones of some known movie actors and handed these over to the Gujarat FSL for analysis. According to sources, the FSL has recovered data from the past two years. Data that filled up two hard disks equivalent to 1500 HD movies
According to sources, Gujarat FSL has recovered data of the last two years from all the cassettes which have been saved in two hard disks equivalent to 1500 HD movies. This data has been handed over to the NCB. A special tool was used to recover data.
According to sources, Gujarat FSL recovered data of last two years from as many as 80 gadgets belonging to the film celebrities which provide incriminating information related to the use of drugs. It will not be surprising if the names of more Bollywood celebrities in the drug racket come to light.
NCB had sent 85 gadgets and 25 samples of drug to Gujarat
During the investigation into the suicide of Sushant Singh it had come to light that his close friend Rhea Chakravarty and her brother had introduced the actor into drugs. After this the names of many film celebrities were revealed in connection with the drug racket. Following this, the NCB has given to the Gujarat FSL as many as 85 electronic gadgets and samples of drugs for investigation.
Gujarat FSL examined the phones of Shraddha Kapoor and Deepika Padukone
According to information received from Surat, NCB confiscated the phones of Rhea Chakravarty, her brother, Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and their friends. These have been sent to the Gujarat FSL for analysis and investigation. FSL has already recovered data from these gadgets and given its report to the NCB.
