Bhusewada is a village under Mallampodur Gram Panchayat in Laheri area of Bhamragad taluka. There is a perennial stream two kilometres from the village. As there is no bridge on this stream, the citizens of the village and the employees of the area have to wade through the water. The villagers have repeatedly demanded the administration to sort out the problem and facilitate traffic. But the administration is turning a blind eye to this.

Therefore, Mallampodur Gram Panchayat Secretary Avinash Gore held a meeting in the village on October 15 to discuss the traffic problem. Some women also raised the issue of roads at the meeting and demanded the construction of a bridge. Then Gramsevak Gore came up with the idea of building a bamboo bridge as bamboo is abundant in the village. This concept was agreed upon by the staff and all the villagers.

All the necessary materials for the bridge were collected and on the appointed day a beautiful bridge was built on the stream with the help of bamboo. This bridge is not only easy to walk on but also easy to ride a bike.

Therefore, the traffic problem of the citizens of the village and the surrounding area has been solved to some extent.

There is a lack of paved roads in many places in the remote areas of Bhamragad, a tribal-dominated taluka. Many rivers and streams do not have bridges. So citizens have to go through a lot of difficulties. The situation is dire in the rainy season. However, there is no doubt that this bamboo bridge built with the hard work of Bhusewada villagers will be a 'bridge' for the villagers.
