Mumbai: Senior Congress leader and former Mumbai party chief Sanjay Nirupam has hit out at state party leadership for sidelining him and claimed he will not be a part of poll campaign.
"I don't think I would want to leave the party but if the things within the party continues to be like this, then I don't think I can be in the party for long. I will not take part in election campaign," Sanjay Nirupam said.
In a series of tweets, Sanjay Nirupam claimed that he had recommended just one candidate for Mumbai in the upcoming Assembly election, but his proposal was rejected by the Congress party.
