Mumbai: Passengers coming to Maharashtra from November 25 will be required to test for corona. The state government has taken this decision against the backdrop of increasing numbers of corona patients in the state. The government also clarified that passengers coming from Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa and Gujarat will get admission in Maharashtra only if they have a certificate that states they are Corona negative. The government said the corona test rule would apply to all passengers arriving by air, train and road. Today, Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar has issued a circular in this regard.
Why was this decision taken?
A lockdown has been implemented. There was some relaxation from the lockdown after June. After Diwali, the number of Corona patients has started increasing again. They also demanded closure of Delhi-Mumbai flights and a ban on mail express trains from outside the state to control the increasing Corona positive patients. At this time, the Guardian Minister, Aslam Sheikh had said that there is a need to make guidelines for the citizens coming from outside. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had said that a decision would be taken in the next eight to 10 days to control the crowd by reviewing the number of patients. On Sunday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had warned the citizens, "Don't force a decision like lockdown."
If need be, we will close the airline
If the number of patients increases, we will discuss and decide to close the railway service, bus service, air service coming from Delhi Gujarat. "Not only that, if we need to curb this number, we will have to decide on the closure of international airlines," Vadettivar said.
No plan to impose another lockdown at the moment
The number of Corona patients is increasing in Pune, Aurangabad and Mumbai. We will make a decision in the next eight days to see how the total number increases. If necessary, all the decisions have to be made. However, Vadettiwar clarified that he did not intend to impose another lockdown as of now.

Decision according to the situation regarding lockdown in Maharashtra, says Ajit Pawar
After Delhi, Corona's havoc is seen in Maharashtra. The state government has also raised the possibility of a second wave of Corona. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that the spread of Coronavirus has increased due to overcrowding in the market during Diwali. A decision on the lockdown will be taken in the next 10 to 12 days after reviewing the situation. Everyone was happy during Diwali and the seriousness around Coronavirus was ignored. But now that Diwali is over, everyone has to shoulder their responsibilities. Ajit Pawar said that the decision on whether to re-implement the lockdown would be taken according to the situation in Pune district and other parts of the state.
