Barwani: MP police have seized illegal pistols, live cartridges and grenades from a liquor godown, owned by BJP leader Sanjay Yadav in Madhya Pradesh's Sendhwa on Monday.
Based on a tip-off, the special team led by Superintendent of Police Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia, raided the godown and recovered 13 pistols, 111 live cartridges and 17 grenades, alongside shelled arms from the facility.
Preliminary investigation has also revealed that Yadav had several criminal cases registered against him, ranging from murder to possession of illegal weapons.
The police have registered a case against Sanjay Yadav and his brother Jitu Yadav under various section of Arms Act and the Explosive Substances Act.
NSA proceedings are being conducted against accused Sanjay Yadav (and his brother), with the police launching a manhunt against the duo.
Sanjay Yadav's mother, who is the Municipal President of Sendhwa, was also present during the raid.
