Bina (Madhya Pradesh): In a fiery and pointed critique of the opposition alliance INDIA, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused it of conspiring to obliterate Sanatana Dharma and return India to a state of subjugation lasting a millennium. This contentious statement was delivered during a rally held in Madhya Pradesh, a state gearing up for crucial elections, marking the Prime Minister's initial public response to the uproar sparked by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's controversial remarks regarding Sanatana Dharma.
Prime Minister Modi did not mince words as he addressed the crowd in Hindi, revealing his interpretation of INDIA's alleged nefarious intentions. "They convened a meeting in Mumbai recently, and it appears that they have formulated both the politics and strategies for the 'ghamandiya' alliance. They have also purportedly devised a covert agenda - one aimed squarely at undermining India's cultural heritage. Their scheme revolves around assaulting the faith of Indians and dismantling the millennia-old thoughts, values, and traditions that have bound this nation together," asserted the Prime Minister.
He went further to establish a connection between India's historic heroes and the essence of Sanatana culture. "The 'ghamandiya' alliance," he said, "is resolute in its mission to extinguish the Sanatana culture and traditions that inspired luminaries like Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. It was the vigor of Sanatana Dharma that empowered Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmibai, to defiantly challenge the British and declare her unwavering allegiance to Jhansi."
The Prime Minister drew attention to the role of Sanatana Dharma in shaping the lives and ideologies of iconic figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, who considered it an essential part of his existence, drawing inspiration from Lord Ram, as evidenced by his last words, "hey Ram." He also highlighted that Swami Vivekanand and Lokmanya Tilak were deeply influenced by the Sanatana culture, which motivated even those freedom fighters who faced the gallows at the hands of the British to express their desire to be reborn "in the lap of Bharat Ma."

PM Modi then issued a rallying cry to his supporters: "In the days to come, they will intensify their assaults on us. Every adherent of Sanatana Dharma, every individual who loves this country, and all those who hold the people of this nation dear, must remain vigilant. Their aim is to obliterate Sanatana Dharma and plunge India into a thousand years of servitude. However, we must collectively thwart the designs of such forces. Through the might of our organization, we must ensure that their strategy meets with failure."
The Prime Minister's incendiary remarks came in the wake of Udhayanidhi Stalin's controversial statement. As a minister in Tamil Nadu and a key figure in the DMK, Udhayanidhi Stalin had spoken about "eradicating" Sanatana Dharma, drawing parallels between this ancient faith and diseases like dengue and malaria.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swiftly capitalized on these comments to target both the opposition alliance and its constituent parties. While Udhayanidhi Stalin stood firmly by his statement, receiving support from his father, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, some of the alliance's members, including the Congress, AAP, and Trinamool Congress, distanced themselves from his views.
The political climate in India remains charged, as the ideological battle between the ruling party and the opposition alliance continues to intensify, with the fate of Sanatana Dharma emerging as a contentious point of contention in the run-up to critical elections.
