Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has directed the police to set up a task force to prevent black marketing of Oxygen and Remdesivir injections in the state. The minister held a review meeting with the Director-General of Police and other high-ranking police officials. He has also directed the police to provide protection to doctors and prevent any untoward incidents in the hospitals across the state.

The Minister has further assured that Madhya Pradesh is taking help from the Indian Airforce to airlift oxygen tankers along with ferrying additional oxygen tankers via rail and road.
He has assured that the state will arrange its quota of oxygen, essential medicines and other services. Madhya Pradesh is facing an acute shortage of oxygen and Remdesivir injections as the rising Covid cases have stretched the health sector to its limits.

The minister has urged the Kumb Mela returnees from Haridwar to stay in home quarantine. He has also informed that the state is working on war footing under the able leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
