Madhya Pradesh: All hospital beds occupied in CM Chauhan's home turf

The Covid-19 situation in Sehore — the home constituency of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan — is also battling a surge in Covid-19 infections amidst serious shortages of medical Oxygen, beds and essential medicines. Sehore District Hospital has no more beds to admit Covid-19 patients.

Sehore: Madhya Pradesh is battling a surge in Covid-19 infections amidst serious shortages of medical Oxygen, beds and essential medicines including Remdesivir.

Meanwhile, the situation in Sehore — the home constituency of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan — is not different. Sehore District Hospital has no more beds to admit Covid-19 patients.

The District hospital management has pasted posters on the main gate of the hospital, in which it is clearly written that all the beds of the hospital are full and the police force has been deployed to avoid any untoward incident.

The district hospital has 68 beds for Covid-19 patients. The medical ward was also prepared for the treatment of the infected patients. The sports complex was also converted into Covid-19 Center with a 60-bed isolation zone, but it was fully occupied on Thursday.

"We have been treating Covid-19 patients continuously. But since last night all the beds are full. We have also admitted patients to the medical ward too. However, that is also fully occupied now," said Dr Anand Sharma, Civil Surgeon of the District Hospital.
