Ujjain: The district administration in Madhya Pradesh raided a house at the Rishi Nagar area and served notice to a health worker and her husband for running an unregistered hospital there.
The couple has been identified as Manisha Singh and her husband Ravindra Singh Thakur.
According to sources, Tehsildar Abhishek Sharma received a complaint that Covid-19 patients are being treated at house number F-48 in Rishi Nagar area.
Acting on the complaint, Sharma reached the spot and found coronavirus affected patients in the house.
All paraphernalia for treatment including equipment fitted with oxygen cylinders were found in Thakur’s house.
On Sharma's behest, the Ujjain Municipal Corporation officials installed barricades in front of Thakur’s house. Thakur has been served notice under Section 188 of the IPC. A poster declaring the presence of Covid-19 patient was also pasted on the house.
