Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar hit out at Congress Party for allegedly claiming that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) used the central agencies to target the opposition with false cases and stated that Congress should face the truth and come clean.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Minister for Agriculture claimed that cases against Ratal Puri, the nephew of incumbent Chief Minister Kamal Nath and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram are based on evidences and facts.
"If Central agencies are carrying out investigation in money laundering cases, the Congress should fight the case and prove its innocence rather than making baseless allegation against the BJP, " Tomar said.
"Congress should not be afraid. They should face the truth," he added.
Further, he claimed that in the BJP-led government, the law takes its due course without any interference from the administration.
Tomar is on a visit to Morena region in Madhya Pradesh as part of BJP's membership drive in the state.
Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Ratul Puri, nephew of Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath, in connection with Rs 354 crore bank fraud case.
On Sunday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had also booked Puri, former executive director of Moser Baer, and four others in connection with the bank fraud case.
