Alappuzha: Miscreants barged into a house in Mannar and allegedly abducted a young woman. It is also speculated that the kidnappers were involved in gold smuggling.
Earlier, the miscreants demanded gold from her. They left emptyhanded as the woman told them gold was not in her possession. Again, they arrived at her home on Monday at 2 am and abducted her, according to her relatives.
The woman's husband raised the suspicion that the kidnappers belong to Koduvalli in Malappuram district.
A case was registered and Mannar police have initiated investigation. CCTV footages are being examined to find the kidnappers.
The abducted woman is a resident of Mannar, Kuruttikadu. She returned from Dubai on February 19.
