Two died in building collapse in Kollam

Two men died after a mudslide hit a building at Paripally near Paravur in Kollam. Three others sustained injuries in the incident. Mudslide occurred on Friday when a boundary wall built close to the building was damaged and collapsed onto the building which housed five men.

Kollam: Two men died while three others sustained severe injuries after a mudslide hit a building at Paripally near Paravur in Kerala's Kollam.

The deceased were identified as Ranjith and Chandu, police said.

The incident took place on Friday at about 3 am when a boundary wall built close to the building was damaged and collapsed onto the building which housed five men after the heavy rain that lashed the area.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
