Arrests after dog thrashed to death on Kerala beach

Two men in their twenties told the police they killed the dog named Bruno at Adimalathura beach after it attacked one of their relatives, reports said. A case was registered on charges of cruelty to animals against the two.

Thiruvananthapuram: Two men were arrested after they thrashed and killed a pet dog at Vizhinjam in Kerala state. A third person involved in the incident is reportedly a minor.

Shiluvayyan, 20, and Sunil, 22 told police they killed the dog named Bruno at Adimalathura beach after it attacked one of their relatives, reports said. A case was registered on charges of cruelty to animals against the two.

Christuraj, the owner of the dog, took to Facebook and shared the video of the attack. There were complaints that the two men issued threats against anyone circulating the video on social media.

The black labrador was loved dearly by its owners and they went out searching for it when they were alerted about the incident, which is believed to have taken place four days ago.
