Chamarajanagara: A wild elephant's halt in front of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus in Chamarajanagara area, sent shivers down the spine of passengers. Trembled at the sight of the pachyderm, passengers panicked and started moving out of their seats.
The furious elephant moved hastily towards the bus and after making a stern look at the bus, it hit the front glass of the bus with its trunk. Later, it trumpeted making the driver dumbstruck. As the elephant moved a little aside, people were heard saying the elephant would move away on its own.
Clueless about what to do, the driver turned the bus off and jumped out of his seat. After unleashing its fury, the elephant seemed calmer. A passenger managed to record the elephant's attack, grabbing courage amid the frenzy situation.
After a while, the elephant returned back to the forest. Heaving a sigh of relief, people embarked on their journey peacefully. The bus was plying from Chamarajanagar's Gundlupete to Tamil Nadu's Nilgiri on September 26. Traffic was disrupted in the area for half an hour.
