Mysuru (Karnataka): Mysuru Police are on high alert after a militant arrested recently gave hints about the terror attacks in Bengaluru and Mysuru. Delhi Police have recently arrested six suspected militants for plotting terror attacks in India with the support of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
During the interrogation, one of the arrested militants hinted about planning terror attacks in Bengaluru and Mysuru. Following the development, the Bengaluru police were put on high alert. Now the Central Intelligence Department has advised Mysuru police and state intelligence personnel to be alert.
Additional police personnel have been deployed in the most sensitive areas of Mysuru city, and intelligence agencies in plain clothes are monitoring strategic places.
On Sept. 14, Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested six people, including two Pakistan-trained terrorists during a multi-state operation. As per Delhi Police, the arrested suspects were planning to carry out targeted killings and bomb blasts across the country. The Police Cell has also recovered explosives and firearms from the suspects. The four suspects have been identified as Jan Mohammed Ali Sheikh, Zeeshan Qamar, Osama, and Mohd. Abu Bakar.
Briefing the media then, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah said, "Pakistan-organised terror module has been busted. Two Pakistan-trained terrorists have been arrested." Explosives and firearms have been recovered from them in a multi-state operation, he added.
Neeraj Thakur, Special CP, Delhi Police Special Cell, told the media that the Delhi Police have arrested two persons from Delhi, three people from Uttar Pradesh and one person from Kota, Rajasthan. He added that out of the six people, two were taken to Pakistan via Muscat, where they were trained in explosives and firearms including AK-47 for 15 days.
