Haveri (Karnataka): Apart from the thousands of temples dedicated to Hindu deities across India, one might have also come across some temples dedicated to politicians and film stars. However, in Karnataka's Haveri district, there exists a temple built by a family to honour the memory of their loved one who passed away a couple of years ago.
Children of late Vishnappa Ramachanrappa built a temple in loving memory of their father near their home in Thiluvalli village, where they offer prayers daily without fail.

According to the children, a dedicated temple is a way to show respect and also a memorial to repay the affection and love he had for his family.
They say that Vishnappa encouraged them to achieve their goals and to strive to achieve better personality throughout their lives.
