Bengaluru: Reports say police in Karnataka has ordered stiff fines for traffic rule violations and will be at the doorstep of motorists to collect the fines.

Reportedly, the police announced a fine of Rs 500 for using high beam light in vehicles, Rs 1000 for driving in vehicles with tinted glass during night, Rs 500 for violating traffic signals in blockades, Rs 500 for not wearing a seat belt and Rs 1000 for using a mobile phone while driving.
After surveilling in CCTV footages, the police first send a notice from Traffic Management Centers to the violators' address.
As per reports, the East Divisional Police is carrying out checks in Shivajinagar, Bharathinagar, Halasoor, Indiranagar, Hennur, Banaswadi, Jeevan Bhima Nagar, Koramangala and Baiyyappanahalli.
