Ranchi (Jharkhand): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reportedly announced rewards for the capture of several Naxals from various outfits in Jharkhand.
According to reports, the agency has announced rewards of Rs one to 10 lakh for absconding Naxals like PLFI supremo Dinesh Gope and TPC chief Brijesh Ganjhu. Earlier, the NIA had declared the rebels as absconding.
The NIA has announced a Rs five lakh reward for Naxal commander Patiram Manjhi alias Anal, who is an accused in the killing of former state minister Ramesh Singh Munda. The state government had already placed an award of Rs one crore on Manjhi's head, who belongs to the banned CPI (Maoist) outfit.
Further, the state government had also announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh for Dinesh Gope. The NIA now has announced a reward of Rs five lakh for Gope's capture. The two wives of Gope and his business partner had already been arrested in connection with the terror funding case.

Earlier this month, the NIA inaugurated a new branch office in Jharkhand. The NIA had set up a camp office at Ranchi in June 2017 which has now been upgraded to a full-fledged branch office headed by an SP-rank officer.
The jurisdiction of the NIA Ranchi branch extends to the states of Bihar and Jharkhand.
Currently, the NIA Branch Office, Ranchi, is investigating 14 cases related to terror funding, Maoist insurgency and human trafficking, an official statement said.
