Jharkhand: Former Union Minister and Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay slammed the state government under the leadership of Raghubar Das and claimed that mob lynchings started during his reign as the Chief Minister.
Sahay, speaking about the upcoming state elections, went on to claim that multiple incidents of mob lynchings were reported during the reign of BJP and its Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
It may be recalled that Tabrez Ansari, was allegedly attacked by a mob in Kharsawan district of Jharkhand on the suspicion of theft on June 18. He was beaten up mercilessly for hours before being handed over to the police. He succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital on June 22. The incident had sent shock waves across the country.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Senior leader also alleged that more number of farmers have committed suicide in the state as they have not received crop insurance amount promised by the state administration.
"Ever since Raghubar Das has become the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, the number of industries in the state have gone down. In fact, most of the automobile industries in Jamshedpur are also shutting down," Subodh said.
According to reports, Amit Shah will soon visit the election bound state to address booth level workers of the BJP and set the ball rolling for the grassroot level campaigning.
Besides, Raghubar Das is the first Chief Minister of Jharkhand to have completed a full five-year term after the formation of the state in 2000.
