New Delhi: Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand Dhiraj Prasad Sahu expressed confidence that Chief Minister Hemant Soren-led coalition government in Jharkhand will complete its five-year term as the grand alliance is united. In an exclusive interaction with ETV Bharat, Sahu said, "No matter how much BJP puts in pressure it will not be able to bring down the Jharkhand government. BJP cannot topple the government in Jharkhand like it did in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. Although it is BJP's typical habit to topple the elected government, it will not happen in Jharkhand's case."
He said that not a single Congress MLA will get influenced by the BJP's dividing policy. "Not a single MLA of the grand alliance which change the party and join the BJP's side. Everyone will remain united in the grand alliance. Everyone will stand firmly with Hemant Soren government," the senior Congress leader said. Talking about the Jharkhand government allegations of horse-trading against the BJP, he said that the three people who have been arrested in connection with the case have not met any Congress MLA or the member of the grand alliance.

"No Congress MLA is in contact with the arrested accused. I am personally talking to all the Congress MLAs one by one on call to verify this allegation. All Congress MLAs have assured that they will remain in the party. There is no resentment within the party members," he added.
Amid political turmoil, the state government has alleged that the BJP is trying to topple the government by adopting the Karnataka model. So far, three people have also been arrested by the police from a Ranchi hotel and a huge amount of cash has also been recovered from their possession. Jharkhand Police claimed that these people were involved in horse-trading to destabilize the government by offering money to the alliance members.

Since their arrest, serious allegations have been levelled against the BJP by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party. Those who have been arrested include two government employees and one liquor businessman. According to police, one arrested person Abhishek Dubey revealed that a deal has been cracked with 11 out of 18 Congress MLAs and they have been offered to get one crore rupees in advance. Abhishek Dubey said that two Maharashtra BJP MLAs are also involved in the case.
According to police, the arrested people were working at the behest of the Maharashtra BJP leaders, police said. The arrested people have also revealed that they went to Delhi to crack deals along with Congress MLAs Umashankar Akela and Irfan Ansari and an independent MLA Amit Yadav. During a meeting, they were planning to topple the Jharkhand government.
Jharkhand has a coalition government of Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and RJD. 42 seats are needed to form the government in Jharkhand. Currently, the grand alliance is having 51 seats. JMM has 30 MLAs, Congress 18, RJD 1, NCP 1, Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation has 1. BJP is the second-largest party in the state with 26 MLAs and its ally All Jharkhand Students Union has 2 MLAs.
