Jamtara (Jharkhand): As many as 17 trucks carrying loads of illegal sand were seized in Jharkhand's Jamtara, police said on Friday.
The incident took place in the early hours of Friday when police had raided the area and seized the trucks loaded with sand.

According to police, all the seized trucks were illegally transporting sands to Bihar from West Bengal.
However, police have not arrested anyone so far in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, Jamtara becomes one of the key areas for sand smuggling nowadays, said police.
