New Delhi: Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz on Wednesday said that people who talk about getting 'Pakistan occupied Kashmir' back prefer only war.
While speaking to ETV Bharat in New Delhi, Soz said, "People who talk about getting PoK back, they talk about the war. It's not an easy task to get Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK)."
Soz was put under house arrest by Jammu and Kashmir administration ever since Article 370 was abrogated on August 5.
"I was put under house arrest since August 5. Like several others, politicians too have been put under house arrest. Leaders of PDP, NC all are under house arrest...nobody knows where they are," said Soz.
He claimed that it is not going to be an easy task for the government to bring peace in J&K following the abrogation of Article 370.
"If schools are open, there are no students. Shop owners hardly open their shutters," said Soz adding "People of Kashmir could have been taken into confidence before abrogating Article 370."
Congress leader said that Article 370 was the identity of the people of J&K.
"There is protest everywhere. It's almost three months, people of the state have not yet accepted the decision taken by the government," said Soz raising a question over Centre's claim that normalcy has returned to the region.
Soz came to Delhi for a medical check-up with due permission from the J&K administration.
