Srinagar: The Tulip Garden located at the foothills of the Zabarwan range in Srinagar is attracting tourists from all over India who just can't get to see the variety of flowers found here. The garden that was thrown open to the public on March 25 has already seen a footfall of over 60,000 people.
Officials said that an average of about 9,000 tourists, including the locals, visited the garden.
The garden was thrown open for the visitors after a gap of two years. It was closed due to the lockdown imposed by the government following the surge in COVID-19 cases last year.
Spread over 600 kanals of land, more than 1.5 million beautiful Tulip bulbs have been planted here, which are imported from Switzerland, the Netherlands and other countries.
