Srinagar: Rehearsals of Indian Air Force fighter jets continued on Saturday in view of preparations for an 'air show' set to take place above the Dal Lake in Srinagar. People in the city were frightened by the echo of the fighter planes in the skies of Srinagar.
The Indian Air Force is organizing an 'air show' above the Dal Lake on Sunday, September 26. The show is being organized in connection with the celebration of 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav'.
According to an official spokesperson, the show will be flagged off by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha from the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convocation Center on the banks of Dal Lake.
Various fighter jets would perform their stunts in this show. He said that the main objective of the show was to attract the youth of Kashmir Valley to the Indian Air Force.
The spokesperson said that more than 3,000 students are expected to participate in the program, who will witness the impressive stunts of the Indian Air Force. He said that besides students, 700 teachers would also be present on the occasion.

According to the spokesperson, the show will encourage students to fulfil their dreams. He aid that during the show, the students would also be introduced to the new technological achievements made by the Indian Air Force.
He said that the students would also be provided information about job opportunities in the Indian Air Force on this occasion. They will also be made aware of its recruitment rules.
