Shopian: The Jammu and Kashmir police have circulated posters in South Kashmir's Shopian district with pictures of two militants. According to reports, police have claimed that Syed Naveed and Rahul Magray are involved in the killing of apple traders and a truck driver.

Earlier, a truck driver in Shopian district was killed by two unidentified terrorists. Also, an apple orchard owner was attacked and beaten up in Shirmal. Police have said that an operation has been launched to nab the terrorists.

On Monday, local police along with other security forces had arrested two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists from Ganderbal. AK-47 rifles and ammunition were recovered from them.
The Jammu and Kashmir police sources also said that they had been looking for these terrorists since the last week of September after getting an input that they were hiding in Kashmir.

Mobile phone services were restored days after Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik announced the withdrawal of security advisory for tourists from October 10. The administration had also said that tourists desirous of visiting the region will be provided with the necessary assistance and logistic support.

As normalcy started returning, postpaid mobile phone services were resumed in five districts - Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Rajouri, and Poonch - of the Jammu region on August 29.
