Srinagar: People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Waheed ur Rehman Para on Monday appeared before the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with the case involving suspended superintendent Davinder Singh.
He was summoned yesterday by the agency.
"Yesterday, Waheed was summoned by the agency under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and today he appeared before the agency's officials in Delhi. Currently, questioning is underway," a reliable source told ETV Bharat.
"As per summons Waheed is acquainted with the circumstances of the case," the source added.
In January, this year, suspended DySP Davinder Singh was arrested along with two militants from Srinagar-Jammu.
According to reports, Para was campaigning for the upcoming district development council (DDC) elections on November 22.
