Srinagar: Anantnag police have arrested four people for their connections with the militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to Anantnag police, the detainees were using an online platform to train local youth in militancy-related matters. According to police, Amir Riaz Lone, a resident of Baramulla district, was arrested on a tip-off. Electronic devices and other suspicious materials were recovered from the accused. Upon analysis, it was found that the accused was in touch with Hilal Sheikh, a militant affiliated with LeT in Baramulla.

After further investigation, two more accused were arrested, identified as Tamil Sohaib Muzaffar Qazi, a resident of Rajpura Qazi Mohalla, Pulwama District, and Tariq Ahmed Dar, a resident of Kulgam Kemoha. During the investigation, police found out that Sohaib Muzaffar Qazi was in direct contact with Lashkar-e-Taiba militant Aqib Dar and was given a hand grenade to attack the security forces, which was later recovered by police.
