Srinagar: A Border Security Force (BSF) trooper on Friday, tried to commit suicide in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar district.
He tried to end his life inside a camp situated in Qamarwari area of Srinagar city by using his service rifle, police sources had said.
"He was immediately shifted to hospital where doctors described his condition as stable," they added.
More details of the incident, including the name of the trooper and reason behind his act etc., are yet to be ascertained.
