Srinagar: On the day valley reported over 3,500 covid-19 cases, BJP J-K Unit president Ravinder Raina, who was on a visit to the covid dedicated hospitals on Monday, claimed that the valley has secured victory over the coronavirus pandemic.
While speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Raina proffered this credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government. He claimed that the arrangements made by Mr Modi led government has lead to the victory over the deadly pandemic.
"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the county has fought the most successful battle against coronavirus. The whole world has been battling the coronavirus pandemic for the last two years. This is probably one of the toughest fights that humanity has fought. Using knowledge, innovations and mutual cooperation, the Modi government fought this battle with immense bravery," added Raina.

He further said that he is happy to state that India under Prime Minister Modi's leadership has fought the most successful battle against COVID-19 in the world.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir's COVID-19 caseload mounted to 2,20,546 on Monday as 3,614 more people tested positive for the disease while the death toll climbed to 2,782 with 56 fatalities, officials said.
Of the fresh cases, 1,496 were reported from the Jammu division and 2,118 from the Kashmir division of the union territory, they said.
Srinagar district recorded the highest number of fresh cases at 701, followed by 658 in Jammu and 343 in Budgam, the officials said.
Of the 56 fresh deaths, 39 were reported from the Jammu region and 17 from the Kashmir valley, they said.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 49,951, while 1,67,813 patients have recovered so far, they said.
