Sirsa: Hiralal, a flour mill owner, hailing from Haryana's Sirsa district got the shock of his life after he was handed over an electricity bill of Rs 65 lakhs- an amount which he claims that his total property is less than the electric bill generated for the month of November 2020.
The flour mill owner said that the family has been facing a huge shock as the electricity department has given the family an ultimatum to pay the bill, else warn them to snatch the electricity from their shop as well as home.
When ETV Bharat asked Hiralal about the bill, he said, "I have been frequently visiting the electricity department since they have awarded me a gift amount of Rs 65 lakhs. I have been asked to file a written complaint to the electricity department. I have already filed three complaints to the concerned department. Earlier, the department officials assured me to rectify the amount, but now, they are ignoring my complaints."
Hiralal, who owns a shop at Subash Nagar, Road Number -2, through ETV Bharat urged the officials to rectify the bill as soon as possible else offered to take his ancestral property.
