Surat (Gujarat): A nurse from Surat saved the life of the patient by driving an ambulance. For that feat, she was honoured with a National Award by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind in 2019. The BJP has given a ticket to the Kailash Solanki who will be their candidate in the Surat Municipal Corporation elections for Bhatar-Vesu-Dummus ward no. 22. It is to be mentioned that, for the first time in Gujarat, a nurse has been fielded in elections.
Distributed sanitisers and masks to nurses
She has saved the lives of many patients with her intelligence and skills. When a patient fell ill and she herself rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Not only that, during the floods in Surat in 2008, a pregnant woman trapped in 20 feet of water was rescued and taken to the hospital. She also used a time indicator to rescue a young man who had lost consciousness after being bitten by a poisonous snake. She has also distributed sanitisers and masks to nurses during the Corona period.
Served more than 1,200 corona patients
Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Kailash Solanki said that she worked hard day and night for 3 months at the Atal Kovid Center at Althan in Corona and served patients. More than 1,200 corona patients have recovered under her care. Not a single covid patient died at the centre.
