Ayodhya: Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case would be delivered by the Supreme Court soon, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy on Saturday said Narendra Modi government was "very liberal" and he never suggests it to build the temple here by bringing an ordinance.
"We could have started the temple work on the government land last year itself but we did not as I believe the top court would give its verdict on the matter soon," he told reporters.
Swamy, who is on a two-day visit to the city, will be facilitated by the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas on his 80th birthday on September 15.
The BJP leader also expressed hope that the verdict would be in favour of Hindus as the Sunni Central Waqf Board’s lawyer was unable to answer any of the questions that were raised in the court.
