New Delhi: Registering protest against the Union Budget, Congress lawmaker from Telangana Revanth Reddy on Friday said that it is "a corporate budget."
Hours after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman presented her maiden budget in the Lok Sabha for 2019-20, Congress MP from Malkajgiri in Telangana said that it's a corporate budget. "Nothing is there for the poor, lower and middle-income group."
He said that they will protest against the budget in the coming days. "The Prime Minister seems to be a CEO of corporate companies," said Reddy.
He said that there was no budget allocation for Telangana.
"Even there was no mention on the implementation of 2014 State Reorganisation Act," said Reddy to ETV Bharat before departing for Telangana.
He said that this budget gives benefit to only a few corporate people.
"They (corporates) have got some relaxations. But the middle-class income group did not get any relaxation," said Reddy.
