New Delhi: As the whole world learns to live coronavirus, the smugglers are happy and doing their business as usual.
A woman has been held on the India-Bangladesh border with fish eggs, the estimated cost of which is rupees ten thousand. The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel got suspicious as she was carrying a cooking gas cylinder with ease and as they checked it, she was found carrying the fish eggs inside the cylinder.The woman told them that she was paid rupees one thousand for the work.
They also found out that the woman was involved in smuggling little things from across the border.
Now, with just three weeks to go for Eid-ul-Adha, the Islamic festival of sacrifice, BSF has deployed more force on the India-Bangladesh border apprehending a surge in cattle smuggling.
As the festival will be celebrated on July 31 this year, the BSF's intelligence wing has alerted its border units about activities of cattle traffickers, considering the rising demand from Bangladesh.
