New Delhi: A Shaheen Bagh-like protest by Muslim women against the CAA, NRC and NPR at Turkman Gate here is being supported by several well-known people and groups as they would visit and encourage them quite often.
One such encouragement came from people of the Sikh community, who sang 'Gurbani' in front of the protesters.
There have been protests against the amended citizenship law across the country ever since the Narendra Modi-led government amended the citizenship law.
With people, chiefly Muslims, protesting against the CAA, demanding its rollback, the government has hardened its stand on the issue saying "the CAA would not be taken back at any cost".
The issue, in fact, snowballed into riots in North-East parts of the city, killing over 40 people and injuring hundreds of others.
